Adoption-Friendly Workplace - 2011
Sears Holdings ranked as the number two retailer and was ranked in the Top 100 Adoption- Friendly Workplaces overall by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Rankings are determined by an analysis of a company's adoption benefits, e.g., financial reimbursement and paid leave available to employees who adopt. The Foundation compiled the results from survey data collected from nearly 500 U.S. employers. The release of the fifth annual Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces List helps the Foundation increase foster care adoption awareness while celebrating those businesses that support adoptive families.
